Caronte Best Practice
In our opinion, the challenge of welcoming and integrating those seeking protection is a European task that can only be solved in solidarity. For this reason, it was a pleasure for Bildung und Sprachen in Europa e.V. to participate in the Caronte Best Practice project funded by the Italian Ministry of the Interior. Since Italy, like Germany, is confronted with very high numbers of people seeking protection, it is seeking exchanges with other EU countries. The Caronte Best Practice project compares the admission procedures and integration offers for asylum seekers in Italy, Germany and Great Britain and highlights good practices.
The project partners conducted study tours in the three countries where they got to know the most important stakeholders in the field of asylum and integration of the respective countries.
In addition, detailed country reports are created which describe and explain the different systems.
Through the exchange of experts from different countries, good practices will be worked out, which will be presented to the Italian Policy Makers in Rome in May 2018.
